Git Offa Yur Boot ahn Take-ah Wok on Da Trail
It's amazing what you can do with a limited palette. When painting the old Junglebrook Trail (you know, the one that starts at the Ogle cabin, winds through the woods past the gristmill, and ends-up at the barn), the only paint I use is Burnt Umber, Raw Sienna, Forest Green and Payne's Blue. That's it! There's really no excuse when you whine, "I wish I had brought all my materials so I could paint this nice vista." I've found that it's often a detriment to attempt to utilize too many colors into your painting... sorry, most of life is NOT a rainbow! And... this scene really didn't require anything else, it's whimsical 'feel' actually IS just a hand-full of colors!
So next time you're walking the trail behind the Ogle cabin, take a good, deep look at the colors you see, analyze them... and enjoy!

Hand painted using digital pixels to reflect oil paint on canvas.
The artist is both professionally trained and self-taught in traditional art mediums... as well as utilizing the computer for yet another means to a visual end. The final result is computer art with the look and feel of traditional 'painted' art.
My subjects include the familiar world around us... nature in all it's beauty; the four seasons; people; places; the effects of our involvement upon our world; the animal world; etc. I also accept special orders and paint custom subjects upon request... just contact me!
All limited edition, hand signed prints can be purchased. Please visit us at www.etsy.com/shop/pcao.
