NGC7000 North America Nebula
Photographed with my monochrome camera through narrowband filters. Sulfur (SII) is mapped to red, hydrogen (Ha) to green, and oxygen (OIII) to blue, i.e., the classic Hubble Palette.
The "Gulf of Mexico" is the dark molecular cloud (designated L935) at bottom center. The star responsible for ionizing all of the gas in the nebula is hidden behind this cloud.
Zeta Cygni is the bright star in the upper left.
Located about 2,590 light years away.
