West Bottoms Rush Hour - Kansas City, MO
It's a busy afternoon at the Kansas City west Bottom with multiple maintenance crews and trains snaking through the congested corridor. To the left we have a UP manifest working its way towards the river. just to its right is a BNSF ethanol train curving downgrade into the bottoms. Further to the right a BNSF maintenance crew sits idle, waiting for the BNSF train to clear. Keen eyes will notice the BNSF train and maintenance crew sitting on the same track. The BNSF train crossed over to the adjacent main shortly after this photo was taken. Out of view to the right, a UP-maintenance crew replaces ties on the opposite UP main.
