Df1305 Thames Trip 5/12/1971 probably east of Waitoa

This was about the cleanest I ever saw one of these locos - from memory I think it had ground to a halt within 6 months of this trip. This section of the East Coast Main Trunk was deviated by the Kaimai Tunnel and the Thames Branch saw it's last trains in the early 90s
