Repaint: Step 6
After adding the black, I go back and add the irises.
I always start with a very dark base (they almost look black here, but they aren't!) because it's much easier to paint the lighter colors on top of the darker ones, than to try to get a perfect dark outline on the eye.
I also add the accents to the mouth at this point. I decided I wanted this Frankie to have a smile... so I took black paint and painted in her lip line... giving her upturned corners to her mouth. If you look at my Standard Clawdeen, you can see how I made her frown using the same method.
I also enhance the eye makeup at this point. Remember... go with VERY thin layers when doing eye makeup. It's much easier to add than to subtract at this point... and you don't want to have to start over.
