The Waterwheel
Waterwheel in an irrigation canal in Chiangmai Provence Thailand. The wheel is driven by the water as it flows downhill towards the paddyfields and is used to harness electricity by a local houseowner. While energy conservation is relatively new here some new houses are utilising solar power. However, it is almost unique to see a waterwheel being used to generate electricity.
