Dave (www.DogversationsBook.com) says: I added this photo because the lighting is so beautiful, with all of the silvery tones and wonderful bokeh. Nadja's pose is perfect.

Dave (www.DogversationsBook.com) says: I love how the light plays in this photo of Zephyr, including on that cloud of breath in the cool air. I also really like how it was a re-found treasure, made better with newly developed processing skills.

Dave (www.DogversationsBook.com) says: The framing of Missy by this insane tree is so well done. Even the line from the fallen branch help direct attention to Missy. Add in the warm light and Missy's smile - its perfect.

Dave (www.DogversationsBook.com) says: I really like how the background of the deck boards worked so well as negative space. By processing them so brightly, it brings attention immediately to Lacy. I'm also a big fan of the POV on Lacy - we often see our dogs from this angle but only rarely photograph them like this.

Dave (www.DogversationsBook.com) says: What a great triptych. Each of these photos is a treasure on it's own (especially the centre one) and put together the total is so much greater than just the sum of it's parts.

Dave (www.DogversationsBook.com) says: I just love the composition here. The fence looks cool and fits perfectly in the bottom right corner of the image. The birds are well positioned, and the translucency of the feathers is amazing. Finally, the negative space sky is a great colour, with just enough details to make it interesting. A perfect example of making something ordinary into something beautiful.

Dave (www.DogversationsBook.com) says: Simply put, I wish humans could be this happy. Jasper is in his element zooming away. The focus is spot-on, and the colours great.

Dave (www.DogversationsBook.com) says: I love the action and the moment captured here. And the gloved hand holding food completes the story.

Dave (www.DogversationsBook.com) says: This is such a soft and sweet photo, and I initially imagined the furry thing as a treasured toy. Even knowing it was a dead squirrel, did not decrease the sweetness of the photo.

Dave (www.DogversationsBook.com) says: For me this shot is all about texture and light. The exposure is prefect, with the light highlighting Bean's eyes and face perfectly. I can't believe it was shot blind. And even though I am not a cat person, Bean sure is cute.

Dave (www.DogversationsBook.com) says: Those eyes are just to die for. You can see such compassion and intelligence in her eyes here. And the dusting of snow on Buffy's face works really well with the clean white background. I can't believe you shot this blind from the hip.
