37-52 - impulse control
It has now been zero days since Eva last jumped into a body of water to chase ducks requiring a human to jump in after her and swim to bring her back.
I was working from home and Julia took Eva for a walk in the park. I then received an urgent call asking telling me to come to the park because Eva got free and Julia was tracking her down.
Apparently there were ducks that Eva wanted to see so Julia walked her on lead towards the pond. Then Eva pulled hard enough to get away and went bounding into the water harness, lead and all. Julia qucikly called me then put her tshirt, cell phone and shoes on the ground and had to go after her, There was thick algea and other vegation in the pond. Plus it was cold as overnight temperatures are now low single digits celcius.
Daniel and I put on shoes and ran to the park. He had a bag of cookies to entice Eva back from wherever she may be running. We didn't think she would be swimming. Daniel and I split up and I started going the other direction around the pond and using my phone to locate Julia's phone on "find my phone' as Julia wasn't answering and didn't say where she was when she called. I was shocked to find the three of them walking back with Danial holding Julia's shoes while both Julia and Eva were covered in green muck. It looked like Julia was auditioning for roles in either Wicked or Shrek the musical.
All's well that ends well. I grabbed my camera to archive the muck before cleaning up.
Eva was unrepentant, and it took a good long time to hose everyone down after which Daniel and I bathed Eva while Julia took a shower.
Plus Eva and Julia solved the age old question of "what should I do for this week's photo?" in the most dramatic way possible.
