25-52: "yes, ma'am"
Dave: Eva, what's with the army man?
Eva: You mean Sureman?
Dave: Firstly, I didn't know they had names.
Eva: They totally do.
Dave: Secondly, don't you mean Sherman?
Eva: Nope. He said Sureman. Like "sure, I'm a man".
Dave: Alright. But back to the first question. What is with him?
Eva: Well, we're negotiating a strategy where his considerable forces coordinate an offensive to bring me back some dog treats.
Dave: I should have seen that coming. And the Union Jack flag?
Eva: Well, that's actually a Brit flag. You see they're loyal to the British flag and I'm a Brittany. It's how I'm extracting dog treat tribute from them.
Dave: Ah, colonialism.
Eva: I think of it more as expanding my sphere of influence and access to resources.
Dave: That is an interesting take on it. But in the end, you do realize that Sureman is just a toy?
Eva: Maybe we have a "Toy Story" situation going on and you're the oblivious "Andy" who comes in the room and has everyone freeze to hide the fact that they're animate and sentient beings.
Dave: That seems like a stretch.
Eva: More of a plot device. And also, dogs aren't supposed to talk - yet here we are.
Eva with one of Daniel's green army men. He now has buckets of these and they show up in different scenarios around the house. When I asked for his help getting a photo of Eva with an army man her jumped to help. We had several iterations of this including top down shots and shots with about 50 army men in it. But they weren't visually working so he suggested bringing in the union jack as a "brit flag" and we paired it down to a single saluting army man that he thought should be called Sherman (after the US tank). Daniel also helped set everything up including straddling over Eva with his hands under her tummy to keep her standing instead of sitting for the shot.
