lets go on an adventure

Karen: Bruno, how are you doing out here on the paddle board.

Bruno: Not really sure. You humans do some really weird stuff.

Karen: Weird stuff?

Bruno: Yup. Like going into the middle of the lake on this wobbly little board.

Karen: It's a paddle board. Great exercise and a lot of fun too.

Bruno: But seriously - it's the lake. You could be jumping off the dock and swimming after floaty toys that you get to hold in your mouth.

Karen: Yeah, that looks like fun too.

Bruno: Oh how it is.

Karen: So back to the paddle board. Are you having fun?

Bruno: I think so.

Karen: Do you trust me?

Bruno: Yup. Complete and total trust. And love. Complete and total love too.

Karen: Do you want to hang out with me?

Bruno: Yup. Anywhere and everywhere.

Karen: Even on this wobbly board in the middle of the lake?

Bruno: Yup. Even here.

Karen: Good. Then let's go on an adventure.

--------

Another great day at the lake. Bruno is learning the ways of the paddle board. They haven't gone far yet, but my wife is slowly introducing him to hanging out on the board with her.

I love how this shows the bond between the two of them. Wide angle of the GoPro makes it look like they are the only ones out there. And the horizon line leads right to them (breaking a rule of chopping off heads with horizons), and they are near the centre of the frame (another rule broken). But all the (relatively) negative space and sweeping lines from the clouds make it work for me. Bruno is a tiny 0.3% of the frame here (and almost the same size as my wife when sitting down), but I think the two of them dominate the story of this photo. My fave of my 'little animal big frame' series to date.
