landing gear malfunction
Eva: "Houston, we have a problem"
Houston: "What seems to be the issue?"
Eva: "My landing gear seems to be malfunctioning"
Houston: "What landing gear? Last time I checked you were a dog and not a space craft"
Eva: "I may be a dog, but I can fly off the dock"
Houston: "Fair enough - but I still don't understand what you mean by landing gear"
Eva: "My paws, I have no idea what to do with them when I enter the water!"
Houston: "Do you mean you're like Ricky Bobby during a TV interview"
Eva: "Ricky Bobby? Nope it's Eva here! What do you mean by Ricky Bobby?"
Houston: "You know, Ricky Bobby - Talladaga Nights."
Eva: "I still don't get it"
Houston: "It's a 2006 movie starring Will Ferrell. Arguably the best of his career."
Eva: "Stop messing with me. I was born in 2013, with 2006 being way before my time old man. Back to the issue at hand, how do I land in water?"
Houston: "I'm not a dog so I have no idea. But I will hazard a guess that it might be better not to extend your front right leg in a bizarre attempt to either test the water or walk on it"
--------------
Ok, so the imagined conversation might be a little long for the limited flight time of a dock dive, but this is how the girl lands her jumps. Second day of independent dock diving without the long lead and multiple pictures confirm it, she has an odd landing pattern. I'm curious to see if it will change with time and experience.
