Investigator II

Toll Investigator was chartered by Tasmanian Ports Corporation (TasPorts) for the take-over of the King Island – Devonport service from Searoad Shipping and was renamed Investigator II.

 

Searoad Mersey previously serviced King Island via Devonport and Melbourne but in December 2016 Searoad Shipping replaced Searoad Mersey with the much larger Searoad Mersey II that is unable to fit into Grassy Harbour, King Island. Investigator II is a temporary vessel that will be replaced once TasPorts can find a more suitable vessel in regards to sea keeping and cargo capacity.
