Having just left the main line at Llandudno Junction, 153353 is treading the first yards of the Conwy Valley line. This initial section runs adjacent to the former coal depot and cuts through an industrial park before passing over the line's only automated level crossing, where I am standing. Once this has been cleared, the line is taken underneath the A55 trunk road before the views of the river and the mountain backdrop become visible. This service is the 10:20 Llandudno - Blaenau Ffestiniog.
