Flying Fox Bat and Baby
The Indian flying fox (Pteropus giganteus), also known as the greater Indian fruit bat, is a species of flying fox in the family Pteropodidae. It is nocturnal and feeds mainly on ripe fruits, such as mangoes and bananas, and nectar. Here we can see a pup that is snuggling in its mother's embrace.
These have very good eyesight and hunt their food (fruits and flowers) with their keen eyesight and smell, rather than echolocation. Echolocation is more to do with smaller species of bats
