Heterozygous Quartet's Quarter!
Last October, Chennai's Vendalur Zoo welcomed 4 little heterozygous tiger cubs (2 male and 2 female). This young tiger cub, one of the four, which were born to a tawny Royal Bengal Tiger father (named Vijay) and a white Bengal Tiger mother (named Namrutha). The names of two male tiger cubs are Devaa and Nakulaa and two female cubs are Kalaa and Maalaa, as named by Tamil Nadu's Chief Minister.
One of the cubs were playing in mid-day by watching upwards by placing its front paws against the tree trunk.
PS: Heterozygous: a hybrid containing genes for two unlike forms of a characteristic, and therefore not breeding true to type.
