Renault 5 E-Tech
After reading endlessly good reviews of these R5s and then driving one back in April, we went ahead and bought this to replace my wife's Mercedes A-Class. This should be far better suited to her very short journey usage, which has never done any of her petrol cars much good.
One of the aspects that sold me to this was that, unlike a lot of EVs (and modern cars generally), these seemed to have some joy about them. And they're good fun to drive; the road test reviews are right.
I do miss the sound of an engine and we're learning about charging it, but overall this has been a good fun car for local-ish journeys so far.
