End of an Era

Goodbye Audi....

So after nearly 12 years of ownership I decided it was time to move the Audi onto a new owner who would have more time to drive and enjoy it than I currently have. It was weird seeing it go, but the new owner (Keith Adams of aronline.co.uk, Modern Classics magazine and Parkers.co.uk) is someone who knows these cars well and will give it a good home.

The Mini now sits in the garage as a more practical weekend car than the Audi and one which I don't mind putting child seats in; something I'd avoided doing with the Audi as they tend to damage the car's seats and which therefore limited the Audi's useability for me.

I plan to change my commuter car (currently the Rover 75) relatively often to cycle through a few cars I've wanted to own for a while.

So my car re-shuffle is nearly complete. The final part will be to change the Insignia (probably for a current shape one) later in the year.

Bit odd seeing both the Astra and Audi go in the last few weeks; they're both cars I've known since 2002! The Mini is now my longest term car and I've only owned that for 2 and a bit years.
