Week 11 'Street Photography'
I took quite a few different kinds of pics for this week's theme, mostly along 'conventional' street lines, but just wandering around, it set me thinking about what constitutes a 'street' in a city these days, seeing as more and more town centres are developed into shopping malls and indoor 'streets'.
This is a shot of a pedestrian walkway linking one area of St Pancras station to the adjacent King's Cross, presenting a rather futuristic image of how we are moved around in increasingly sterile and abstract environments. I haven't altered the colour balance - this is how it looks in reality.
In fairness, it's usually a little busier than this, but I liked the eerie emptiness, and the ghost-like reflections of other pedestrians further around the curve but out of sight.
