Retirements is sometimes a sad thing. This bear used to be the star of the night, couldn't sleep without it and he was with me both mornings and evenings. Then one day retirement came, instantly transforming him into a nobody. Left on a shelf, never hugged, never loved. Forgotten, lonely.
He has been sitting on a shelf for so long that he doesn't even smell any more, something he was infamous for.
Much more happy with this one than my selected shot, but I felt that this was a bit too much of a stretch. The wear on the fabric was what I thought of, but it takes up too little of the image.
Alternative for "#ds263 Fabric: we wear it, sleep on it, decorate with it. Make a photo of an interesting cloth design or texture. (@muffett68)"
