Skylands PanorManor
Small format digital stitched panorama pinhole, using the Lensbaby Pinhole/Zoneplate optic.
Small format pinhole is a challenge, because the frame size is not physically large enough in relationship to the “circle of confusion” to produce a sharp image compared with large format such a 4x5.
But Adobe Camera Raw now has the ability to combine several RAW frames into a single panoramic frame in RAW format. The stitching is imperceptible, and this 90MP image was created from a 24MP sensor.
Combined with new processing techniques, this results in whole new possibilities for pinhole in the small format.
This shot was taken at Skylands Manor in Ringwood NJ. I used an ISO of 400, and with the Lensbaby’s f/177 aperture, a 1 second exposure time.
