8th June 2015 Cuckoo..... hope to see you next year.
The season is almost over now and today made it 47 days in a row I have had this bird coming to food. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think this would be possible with a bird such as the Cuckoo. I would like to thank everyone for all the kind comments, but more importantly thank each and every one of my clients who have photographed this spectacular bird over the last 7 weeks. It was great to see the delight in each and every one of their faces. If it was not for the likes of you this would not be possible so a huge thank you. Finally I always try to get a unique shot for myself with the trickier subjects. Last year I did the Cuckoo wide angle and today I set up things for a shot I have been thinking about for a few months now. As I have been flat out since the Cuckoo arrived I finally managed to try get this shot today and I was under no illusion that it would be easy. Sometimes though everything you plan just comes together and I was so fortunate to get this shot which is a carbon copy of what I had in mind. I see so many top photographers doing the same thing day in day out with the same subjects, it doesn't take much thought or effort to change things and get something different. Some food for thought I hope. Any way once again a huge thanks to the Cuckoo crew, hope to see you all next May :)
