Gerald Thurston for Lightolier
Here is a rare lamp I acquired by trading a couple nelson bubble lamps for, the shade has a design patent for Gerald Thurston. I sold the lamp a couple of summers ago to a 1stdibs dealer and it is now being sold as a Gino Sarfatti attribution! The switch on the cone was painted black by the previous owner and the brass base had been painted black. To be honest I have not seen this lamp design before, other than this one, so either they did not make many or this was a prototype. The wooden carved vertical support reminds me of shades of Carlo Mollino. Hopefully another one will pop up in the future.
