Snowdonia's Autumn Splendour

Since returning from my six month break I've been really resisting posting much from Snowdonia, and for those that know me, that is rather unusual. Truth is I've been working on something quite intensely for those six months and that overall has turned into a project lasting well over a year (one of those projects that you don't realise you've been doing until you are several months in).

The project is entitled 'Eryri - A Song for Snowdonia' and the reason for that will become clear in time, but I'll be presenting a large part of this work at the Meeting of Minds conference at the Rheged Centre in just a few weeks. The work basically represents a year of images from Snowdonia. In early 2017 I be publishing a small book containing all of the images from the project too...stay tuned for that.

This particular image comes from the project and is a scene I have had to return to maybe a dozen times over the last 12 months as I could never quite achieve what I wanted in my vision of the place, because of the conditions. This particular version was captured only last weekend and represents my best and favourite so far. The colour of autumn being at it's absolute height. The more I look at it the more I come to really love it. I know, that is not something I'd readily say about my own work. I hope you like it too.

Anyway, I'll be returning to this location on my next two workshops (12-13 and 26-27 Nov) so get in touch if you are interested in joining me and to receive a discount off the website price.
