Touching Beauty - Vancouver, British Columbia
This is the first shot in a series showcasing the beautiful butterflies at the Vancouver Aquarium's Amazon Exhibit. The exhibit includes a large enclosed area filled with tropical foliage. As you walk along the path, tropical butterflies and birds fly about. At one point a girl was standing nearby pointing at a butterfly when another one to our collective surprise landed on her extended finger. Of course, I could not resist taking a couple of shots. :) If anyone knows the species, please let me know. Thanks. For those who may be curious, the dark bokeh is natural. The photo was taken in December 2012, with my trusty Olympus digital camera. Enjoy.
