Hummingbird on Bamboo - Vancouver, British Columbia
This is one of my backyard birds shots. Normally, I take my camera with me when I work in the vegetable garden because I often come across interesting subjects to photograph. As I was working on my cucumbers, I looked up and saw this fine hummingbird no more than six feet away calmly sitting on one of the bamboo poles. Once I recovered from my surprise, I was able to get about twenty shots before it flew away. The photo was taken in July 2011 ,with my trusty Olympus digital camera. Enjoy.
