we want justice
(Yashika FX-3 + Yashika 50/2.0 + Kodak Porta 200)
My small community of photogs had a long discussion about photographic ethics in the context of the BLM protests, cops, race and vulnerability etc today on facebook. I wrote about this specific photo. My friend LC, replied.

ME: I took one photo from Sunday's demo where a woman is looking straight at me and tbh honest she seems pissed. I didn't notice it when taking the photo.
I thought hard about posting that one on Flickr. I did because I felt it's a decent photo and because I came to the conclusion that my discomfort had a lot more to do with ME. And I needed to confront that. I dunno if i was right. It's the choice I made anyway.
LC: mistrust is real. mistrust is earned. sometimes the trustworthy bear the brunt of others' actions.

I hope I can be trustworthy....
