Aileen and Valerie
Yum, Yum, Yucky - 01/07/10 - Day 7
The day began when I picked up Aileen, Erica, Wilbert, Leo, Cupcake, and Jiffy and headed over to the dog park in Otay Ranch. I like how my nice-sized, five-seater sedan can fit four dogs and three humans (including myself). We stayed for a good hour before we dropped off the pups.
We had lunch at In-N-Out and planned to find a place to shop for shoes after. We decided on shopping in Hillcrest. After buying a caramel latte from Babycakes and some candy from the best candy shop in town, we got our parking validated and began shopping. We went to a couple really cool stores. I think they were called Flashback and Buffalo Exchange. We also went to a bookstore so that Aileen could find a book that she needs for one of her classes.
As we walked back to the car, I saw a sign outside a sushi restaurant that said happy hour, half off on sushi! Aileen doesn't like seafood at all, but she knows it's one of my favorites. Even though she had to be home, she went in with me and waited while I decided on which roll to order. We got it to go and I ate it when I got home. When Aileen got home, she had spaghetti. I don't really like spaghetti and Aileen doesn't like sushi, but we still enjoyed our dinners very much. I think I don't like spaghetti because my family makes it weird. However, I can honestly say that the best spaghetti I've ever had was at Aileen's house! :)
Aileen and I don't always agree on what to eat, but we always compromise with each other. We're amazing at working around each other's cravings and finding something we can both enjoy. I love how well we compromise with each other and how we make the best team ever!
