Fulmar - in its element.

I'm quite an admirer of these fascinating little seabirds. They don't beg for crusts or raid inland waste sites like gulls do.

And their tubular nostril'd bill marks them as quite different from all the tribes of seagulls. They are petrels, and are related to the Albatrosses. Making them- for me - minor royalty in the bird world. How closely related? Better ask a bird expert!
