This one was *a bit* noisy - ISO had drifted up to 2500, and the noise was like a coloured fine-gravel path of little points of colour.
So tried the de-noise applet from Topaz. Used the Low Light setting with the sliders reduced to values of 1. It's usable as long as you don't look too closely. Area detail is pretty blown, but edges remain defined.
Maybe if you occasionally have a basket case shot that for whatever reason you want to wash and brush up, maybe this could be your answer? I'm using a trial version, I'll see what the next twenty odd days shows up before I decide to fork out or not.
