Shot through the living room window after making a micro adjustment to the 5d2's autofocus settings. I'd had lots of difficulty getting this camera to take acceptable flight shots of this sort - it's a very fine portrait/landscape shooter, but was never designed for quickshot stuff like this. But wildlife shooters were taking very good photographs with the original 5D, being the most accessible FF body around, as it was so much less expensive than the 1D professional series - and much lighter too. So it can be done - if you keep at it?
Been looking over some used F2.8 lenses lately, that extra stop can make all the difference to flight shots, especially in imperfect light.
