Raptor Day - Wyandotte Lake Park Jan 24 2015
We went to the presentations by Operation Wild Life at Wyandotte County Lake this weekend - they had many interesting raptor birds to talk about - eagles, hawks, owls and more
All of these birds suffer physical injury or have been imprinted to humans that make them unable to succeed in the wild. OWL does rehab and return over 69% of all wild animals they take in.
It was fascinating to see them up close and learn about how advanced they are for hunting such small prey!
Camera is my Sony A100 mostly with the 70-200zoom - and I am very happy with the zoom. Later I changed to the 35-70 for some broader shots.
Did not see any Eagles, and missed the photographer that takes so many of the pictures we see. We have seen some eagles at K32 near the P&G plant - but cannot find a place to stop and take a picture!
These were taken with a much larger dpi and have been downsized to Flickr - let me know if you need a better picture.
