Timothy "T.J." Creamer

This was a difficult photo of Army Col. Timothy J. "T.J." Creamer. The two insurance grabshots had his eyes closed, and the lighting was bad. I had to wait until the end of his presentation to get this shot.

Creamer is one of two U.S. astronauts - Shannon Walker is the other - who were selected during the Shuttle era but made their first flights not on that vehicle (in both cases, on a Russian Soyuz; NASA's Group 20, were told specifically they would not fly on the space shuttle.) Creamer's classmate, Marcos Pontes of Brazil, also made his first flight on a Soyuz (jn that case, he was scheduled to fly on Shuttle, but delays due to the Columbia accident as well as in the Brazilian payload for ISS caused him to also train in Russia.)
