Despite its dimutive size the Renault 5 was also a serious motorsport competitor, both in rallies and on the track.

This 350bhp flame spitting brute lacked the four wheel drive of its rival Peugeot T16 Evo 2, but Jean Ragnotti beat his Peugeot mounted compatriot Bruno Saby by 12 minutes on the tortuous Corsican Rally of 1985.

This car is a replica of the car driven by Francois Chatriot and Michelle Perin in 1985-86 using as many original parts as possible. It is a regular on the Historic Rallying scene. It is also available in these decals as a 1-43 and 1-18 scale model
