The Rolls Royce Phantom V was originally built during 1958-68, at the top of the Rolls Royce luxury range, the car had a massive 12 foot wheelbase, and measured 20 feet from bumper to bumper was powered by a V8 engine of 6230cc engine. Only 832 were built and they became the car of choice, for Royalty, World Leaders and celebrities. At each end of the scale owners included Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and John Lennon.

Fast forward to the post COVID apocalypse era.

Lumaz the creator of converted electric cars has now extended its exclusive range to include Rolls Royce, classics, to include the Phantom V and Silver Cloud models. This includes ground-up restoration and the incorporation of Lunaz’s proprietary electric powertrain and full suite of hardware and software upgrades. Production allocation for the first tranche of Rolls-Royce cars by Lunaz will be strictly limited to 30. Prices for a Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud by Lunaz starts at £350,000 (not including local taxes). Pricing for a Rolls-Royce Phantom by Lunaz starts at £500,000 (not including local taxes). Lumaz state the Phantom V is the only electric chauffeur-driven car in the world. Rolls-Royce Phantoms by Lunaz are powered by the firm’s proprietary electric powertrain. Its battery pack is the largest of its type in the world at 120 kWh, ensuring range of over 300 miles or 80kw/h for a similar range from the smaller Silver Cloud. Donor cars are taken back to bare metal, 3D scanned, weighed to ensure no inherent flaws that would be intensified by the increased torque of its new electric motor, and fully restored before the conversion and re-engineering process begins. The cabin benefits from all new modern gadgetry and entertainment systems. Dash, seats and carpets are all of high end materials, For example, rear floormats have been custom made in alpaca wool, a material that is rarer than cashmere, softer than lambswool and is considered highly sustainable.

This Phantom is finished in a two-tone paint scheme, with Midland Grey on the upper of the car and Cinereous Grey on the lower. It even retains its original pink bakelite telephone that sat between the rear occupants which has been upgraded to incorporate modern cellular phone technology, encrypted for privacy.
