Built by the Societe Francaise D Automobiles, Puteaux (SFA) that only survived the years 1898-01, cars were built on the banks of The River Seine on Quai National in Puteaux to the West of Paris and near to the De DionBouton factory. SFAs British importer was based at 20 Haymarket, London a premise later to be headquarters of Burberry, with a showroom in Covent Garden. It is highly likely this Tricycle originally came to London for exhibition at the 1899 Motor Show in Richmond Park.

The car is powered by an 800cc engine with a two speed gearbox.
