The Williams FW06 was the first car produced by the combination of Frank Williams and Patrick Head for their Williams Grand Prix Engineering Formula One team. Designed by Patrick Head and powered by a Cosworth DFV 3.0 litre V8 engine.

The Williams Team ran the FW06 as a single car team in all of the 16 rounds of the 1977 Grand Prix season. Driven by Australian Alan Jones.

1977 proved a learming curve for all concerned with Jones finishing in the points 3 times including a second place at Watkins Glen.

The FW06 was also used by the team during the first four races of the 1978 season before being replaced by the ground effects FW07. For 1979 Jones was joined by the Swiss driver Clay Regazzoni in a two car team, with the cars best result being Jones' 3rd place in the US West Grand Prix at Long Beach.
