Introduced in 1946, alongside the similar Lea Francis 12, and powered by a Riley like twin camshaft, high pushrod engine. Relatively expensive, which led to the early demise of the 12 in 1948 after poor sales.
Mechanical brakes until 1951, hydraulics thereafter. Torsion bar independant front suspension for 1949, headlamps recessed into the wings in 1951. Coupe versions available for 1947 and 1948 model years.
This car was offered for sale in the Silverstone Classic auction, it was originally supplied by Charles Follet of London to a Evelyn Haywood from Ross on Wye. on the 9th January 1951, in it's current colour of light ivory the car passed through various owners during the 50's and 60's and was put in to long term storage in 1982. Purchased and then restored in 1995, the car has since been a regular on the Classic Car scene and is well known in Lea Francis circles.
The car remained unsold at auction/
