The LD range was available in two version, the original Morris LD1 a one ton van was launched in 1952 and joined in 1953 by the LD2 a 30cwt version. The Austin versions were launched in 1954 simply known as the 1 ton and 1.5 ton van. Powered by a 2.2 Petrol or Diesel engine from 1955. The 1.5 ton (30cwt) vans were both longer and taller than their 1 ton brethren. From 1960 the LDM-20 and LDM-30 received new gearboxes finally being replaced by the EA Series vans in 1967.

 

ALF 62 B was supplied new to the Home Office in 1964 and was used as for Fire Service Training in Moreton in the Marsh, Gloucestershire, now restored to a parcel van it has been with its present owner since October 2000
