The Bedford Chevanne was a small commercial vehicle based on the GM T platform Vauxhall Chevette estate, Though unlike the Chevette the Chevanne had a flat rear floor.and panels instead of rear side windows. Introduced in September 1976 as a replacement for the Bedford HA Van, though the Chevanne was replaced by the Astra Van before the HA van was cancelled. Powered by a 1256cc S4 as the Chevette but with an output of 52.7bhp. As part of making the Chevanne as car-like as possible, it was also available with a three-speed automatic transmission. The automatic also included aheavy-duty battery and front suspension, better carpeting, and a higher compression engine of 56.3bhp.

I had seen this van in 2013 when it was sporting the livery of GM, Bedford Commercial Vehicles, Vauxhall Motors, Luton
