Former Railways, parcel delivery truck, prior to the Nationalisation of Britains Railways in 1948 would have been in the livery of one of the big four British Rail companies. The British Railways lasted until 1965 when the rail network was rebranded as British Rail. From 1994-97 there was a gradual privatisation process, resulting in trains being run by a number of private companies and the responsibility for signals, railway stations and the rail infrastructure becoming the responsibility of Railtrack..
