Common Loon

Unfortunate, oiled bird that, by leaving it's resting place on the shore and re-entering the water, missed being rescued. Had it stayed on land for a few more minutes, the nice woman from the SPCA could have caught and brought it to their facility for stabilization and later transfer to a rehab facility in Fairfield.
