SIALKOT: - A police party and a team of local journalists , today, recovered a chained woman Shagufta Bibi (46) from the house of a local landlord Lal Din(65), who has been allegedly keeping her into illegal detention there for the last ten consecutive years , in far-off bordering village Jhun-Kotli Said Mir, Sialkot tehsil, here today. The woman was being kept hungry, thirsty and naked there in a small suffocated and filthy room like he animals there. According to the local villagers, the accused landlord Lal Din (65) was used to give her a little bit of the food stuff while throwing like the animals. The villagers said that the accused Lal Din was harassing and threatening them with dire consequences if they dare to open their lips about this cruelty. The accused told the police and journalists that Shagufta Bibi was his wife and she was disobedient thus she was keeping her into ten years long illegal detention in a bid just to teach her some unforgettable lessons, in this regard. While, Shagufta Bibi told the police that she was not his wife. She said that she was already woman belonging to village Kotli Loharaan-Sialkot, where she had four children (including three sons and one daughter). She said that accused Lal Din and his some other accomplices had kidnapped her from her house ten years ago. She said that the accused had forcibly got some blank pares signed from her at gun point. After this, the accused Lal Din termed her as wife and raped her forcibly for several hours. Police arrested the accused Lal Din and sent him behind the bars. Police also claimed that the recovered woman was become mentally upset after a decade long cruelty and illegal detention. Police also called the old family and children of the Shagufta Bibi, her children said that searched for her a lot. Now they were glad and very happy after getting their, what they said, lost and kidnapped mother. Now, the Shagufta Bibi has been admitted at Govt.
