CBT National NWO463R

A less comprehensive rebuild than East Lancs 'National Greenway' offering was the British Bus 'budget' version shown above. A Cummins B series engine and allison gearbox (as fitted to Darts and Metroriders) replaced the original drivetrain; the interior layout at the rear being modified to accomodate the vertical engine. Parts from the Plaxton Paramount parts bin were used to 'mod' the front dash. The interior other than a retrim and a lick of paint was otherwise almost original - including on this bus the overhead luggage bins (mind your -ouch- head!). The cream used on this bus seemed paler than the usual CBT cream - presumably it was painted by London & Country (hence also the LNC463 applied twice on the front in red transfers) and Kentish Bus cream was used?
