The heavy snow overnight made for a festive photo opportunity early the next morning for those who were brave enough !
This was the first day of freezing temperatures which continued for 10 days in Merseyside, UK over the Christmas Holidays in 2010.
During this period some of the coldest temperatures on record for this region were experienced.
On the coldest night of the Holidays,the temperature fell to -17.5 degrees C which felt much more Siberia than Sefton !
