Water Rail

Water Rails are very secretive and live in reed beds of shallow lakes. There call is distinctive and sounds like squealing piglets. You tend to hear them often but seeing them a lot less, I took this picture at Aqualate Mere in Staffordshire, a favourite place of mine.
