Height: 1,588 ft Location: Hong Kong, China
Completed in 2010, the International Commerce Centre is the tallest building in Hong Kong. The height of this building had to be scaled back due to regulations ensuring buildings aren’t higher than surrounding mountains.
Energy saving measures include the "Energy Optimizer" air conditioning system with smart controls for monitoring energy use, a passenger smart card system to maximize efficiency by assigning lifts to people with similar destinations, and a water harvesting system for air-conditioning units to re-use water in the cooling towers or for plumbing.
