One of the remarkable things about Japan's bullet trains is their omnipresence throughout the cities they service. Here's a view of the train speeding through the center of the city. The picture was taken from a window at the Dai-ichi Hotel Tokyo, a 21-story luxury hotel near the upscale Ginza district, and a short distance from the Imperial Palace.
