Well, of course I am biased, but I am pretty sure that Tana is the second cutest puppy on Flickr :). I love the backlighting on this photo, and the water droplets and the cute little tongue. Puppy photos are always cute, but this one is so appealing with the superb depth of focus leaving those pink flowers as pretty bokeh and the water droplets in and out of focus.

I had to choose Onyx. I first "met" Brenda through a flat coat group and so all I knew of her life with dogs was Onyx. Until we started Studio 26 I didn't even realize that she had an awesome service dog named Buffy! So of her non-Studio 26 photos, I had to choose Onyx and I love this one for the happy expression in her eyes and the bits of snow on her muzzle and the fact that she has clearly been having fun.

I agree with Dave's own assessment of this photo - it looks like something out of Star Wars. And perhaps because I saw Rogue One yesterday, that speaks to me. His daughter looks so much like the kick-ass heroines in recent movies! She is small against the landscape, but she is clearly determined. I love the pink tights!

Ha! Another one that may have been influenced by where I am at the moment. Trying hard to finish 116 photos and stymied by some categories such as "spoon". How to take an interesting photo of a spoon? Well, Karen certainly showed us how! This is an amazing photo with such beautiful reflections on the spoon. And is that Karen herself I see in one dot?

I had to choose this one. No option. It is so quintessential Blazingstar to have "dogs perching on rocks" that I simply had to include this one. I love that all three have their tongues hanging out, and two are looking at Liz while one (not sure who) is in her own world. The background perfectly captures Liz's prairie life.
