51/52 - Getting a jump start on those New Year's Resolutions!
Between the fact that it's difficult to exercise dogs a lot in winter in snowy regions and the fact that Gracie is getting a little ... ahem ... well, let's just say there is more of her to love nowadays :) ...we bought a doggie treadmill! We tried the dogs on the human treadmill first, and they did very well, but the tread length is not long enough for them to get a full stride. So we bought one for them! Interestingly they are having more difficulty adapting to the doggie one than to the human one and tend to jump off more often. In this photo, Gracie is at a fast walk. She is not yet comfortable with the trot on the dog version - but we'll get there.
