Challenging the King
While on safari on the Serengeti recently, we had the rare opportunity to watch four young lions attach the established older lion for rights to the pride. While four against one is hardly fair odds, the King held his own and did not retreat. It was hard to watch this battle, as I was terrified we would see a lion killed, but at the same time it was mesmerizing to see such raw power and strength.
